Lightning has deep roots in mythology. In Greek tradition it was the weapon of Zeus and a sign of highest authority; in Norse tradition Thor commanded it with the hammer Mjölnir. In many cultures it counted as a divine message – something that arrives suddenly and from above.

Most people choose it as a reminder of their own energy and ability to act fast, or as a marker of a turning point. A smaller group takes it purely graphically – a shape that fits a composition and needs no explaining.
